Fresco Kyoto release 'Inkman (Not Waking Up)'

"Too much conversation where I've landed,
The paper mills are smoking at our whim.
Sweat is drawn but far away from here,
A place too safe and sheltered,
Structure is an Inkman's greatest ally.”

“[4 stars] Mmm, yes please to that voice. - Tommy Faith, Triple J Unearthed

“A meeting of electronic, soul, rock and indie, this Brisbane band are redefining ‘artpop’ with their intriguing genre blending.” – Music Is My Muse

Written from the perspective of someone dreaming of escaping a monotonous and oppressive office job, ‘Inkman (Not Waking Up)’ is the first single from this gifted young Brisbane band’s upcoming debut EP.

One for fans of Mansionair, London Grammar, Bon Iver and Radiohead, the song displays Fresco Kyoto’s clear knack for dynamics, mood, hooks and intricate craftsmanship. It showcases the incredible talents of frontman Robbie Balmer, whose voice effortlessly traverses three octaves in this song alone.

‘Inkman (Not Waking Up)’ is released internationally through Double Drummer tomorrow.
