Driven by a deft bassline, forward-thinking production and her remarkable signature vocals, Greta Stanley is excited to share the follow up to ‘Soak Into This’ – arguably her most well-received song yet. ‘New Feeling’ is the second taste of Stanley’s upcoming sophomore album and it sees her continuing to explore a new direction; as her sound edges closer towards danceable indie-rock and widescreen pop.

The single is another striking co-write with German songwriter/producer Tobias Kuhn(Milky Chance, Dean Lewis), with Matthew Neighbour (Courtney Barnett, Matt Corby, The Avalanches) on mixing and mastering. It’s an engaging and clever composition that showcases the immediacy of Stanley’s melodic sensibilities, her maturity as an artist and the collaborative magic of her new songwriting partnership with Kuhn.

Recorded in Melbourne, ‘New Feeling’ is about refocusing perspectives and changing your frame of mind. “I wrote it when I’d been through those feelings or sense of being lost, and searching for what I needed or what would help me feel better, but then coming out of that space feeling positive, changing my outlook.” – Greta Stanley.

Releasing music in 2020 has clearly affected all artists, however for Greta Stanley, this has been a perfect opportunity to introduce fans to a new, sunnier side of her creativity not previously explored. She has emerged from these studio sessions invigorated and excited. “‘New Feeling’ is about the power a good song can have; it can change your mood or entire day. It’s about the power of music and the power of your mindset!” – Greta Stanley
