Lucy Parle releases moving third single 'I Used To Love You'

After amassing over 300,000 streams across the DSPs with her first two singles, Central Coast mega-talent Lucy Parle has just released her third single, ‘I Used to Love You’.

Though still just 18 years of age, Lucy has already been the recipient of a number of significant awards. Most recently, she took out first place in the Teen category of theInternational Songwriting Competition (ISC). The ISC had over 23,000 entrants this year and its judges included the likes of Dua Lipa, Coldplay and Tom Waits.

A favourite in triple j’s recent Unearthed High comp, her previous single ‘Back Up’ garnered 4 star reviews from seven different triple j presenters and personalities.

'I Used to Love You' continues the streak that Lucy started with 'Crayon Sun' and 'Back Up'. In fact, it might be her strongest track yet. Exploring the confusing mess of emotions in the aftermath of a break up, it's a shining example of her open-heartedness and direct, honest lyricism.

Lucy says of the song: "I Used To Love You is one of my favourite songs I've written because it's super personal to me and close to my heart. It's about getting heartbroken for the first time and how to navigate a broken heart when you've never experienced it before."

Recently signed to boutique indie label Double Drummer (Greta Stanley, Cousin Tony's Brand New Firebird, Emma Swift) and with her publishing already inked with ORiGiN (Wally De Backer aka Gotye, Megan Washington), the future is looking very bright for Parle.
