Radio Free Alice declare 'Paris is Gone'

Debuting via a triple j First Play on Monday and arriving hot on the heels of acclaimed recent single 'I Gotta (Fall In Love)', Melbourne's Radio Free Alice return with 'Paris is Gone' - another sub-2 minute blast of hooky and impactful post-punk. Punctuated by blasts of saxophone, rapid fire chord changes and the urgent, dramatic and utterly unique voice of frontperson Noah Learmonth, this classy group of 21 year olds have delivered the goods again.

Learmonth says of the song "'Paris is Gone' is a manic narrative about a post break-up adrenaline rush. 'Paris' doubles as a reference to both the city with all its associated romanticism and also the insecurity of modern love."

The band's growing team now includes boutique indie label Double Drummer (Cousin Tony's Brand New Firebird, Greta Stanley, Emma Swift) who they signed with in January. They plan to roll out a series of singles in quick succession that showcase their diverse range of influences, distinctive sound and incredible consistency.

Already filling rooms despite their relative newness, this exciting band is wasting no time endearing themselves to indie audiences around Australia.

Catch the band live at the single launches for 'Paris is Gone':

  • Thursday March 30 - The House of Music & Booze, St Peters, Sydney

  • Saturday April 1 - The Old Bar, Fitzroy, Melbourne
