Greta Stanley says 'It's Cool To Be In Love'

Greta Stanley has returned with a bold, commanding new sound. 'It's Cool To Be In Love' is her first collaboration with producer/co-writer Adib Parker (aka Cheekbone) and it heralds a stylistic shift that punters may not expect from the Far North Queenslander star.

Following a triple First Play last night on 'Good Nights', 'It's Cool To Be In Love' is now available everywhere. It's easily the most rocking single that Stanley has released to date. Always unafraid to take musical risks and venture into new territory, the song nods to her love of bands like Violent Soho, Slowly Slowly and Paramore, while still highlighting her remarkable vocal range, lyrical sensitivity and love of delicate textures.

It's her first release since last year's acclaimed sophomore album Real Love in Real Lifeand her well-received Like a Version of Foo Fighters' 'Everlong', which has now racked up over 300,000 views on YouTube alone.

In Greta's words,

"'It’s Cool To Be In Love' is about how love can be scary and overwhelming... how it brings a lot of stuff to the surface that you realise you’ve been carrying from childhood, past relationships, your own fears and insecurities and so on. I guess it’s trying to capture the feeling that this is super terrifying but I need to be vulnerable and honest and know my worth in order for this to be real... in order to know for sure whether this is for me. So does the other person, so does everyone... letting go of your ego and wearing your heart on your sleeve because it’s COOL to be in love when you actually find it and damn it takes work!"
